If you read the Dispatch sports section, you should
recognize the tremendous success of the 2007 Ohio Dominican
University football team. Coach Dale Carlson helped lead the
Panthers to their first Mid-States Football Association (MSFA)
Mideast League title and ODU made their first Football
Championship Series playoff appearance. ODU finished the
season 12-1 overall after going a perfect 11-0 in the regular
season.
What is often times missed, is the story behind the story on the
example of the Coach to impress upon his 135 player roster to
work as a team through incorporating Christian values. Benefit
from this witness talk to learn how Coach Carlson, entering his
fourth football season, is already making great achievements
benefiting all of Columbus.
ODU football players are hard working and dedicated student
athletes. The on and off the field success of Coach Carlson had
him recently named the American Football Monthly and
Schutt Sports 2007 NAIA Coach of the Year. This honor
recognizes coaches in all football divisions.
To live our vocation as Catholic men, each one of us have
individual goals we are trying to achieve. This talk will
provide encouragement and important reminders to incorporate
into our lives.
Please promote the Catholic Men’s Luncheon Club by forwarding

Everyone, at some point in time, is faced with a difficult
decision. In trying to figure out what to do, our Lord has
taught us to completely turnover our thoughts and concerns to
Jesus as He will show us the way. But, often times this is a
struggle for men which requires trust, prayer, and faithfulness.
Tom Lynch opened Woodhouse Lynch Clothiers a downtown
men's-apparel store in 1972. In February of 2008 he retired and
closed the doors one final time.
This talk will not only cover the important events of how our
Lord worked to help bring peace this decision, but also how we
can mirror Tom’s example in business and incorporate it into our
own lives. All of us are called to be ministers of our Catholic
Faith most importantly through our example. Tom created his
business to be a ministry helping the homeless to top Columbus
executives. This talk will help remind all of us that business
is important, but friendship is event more important.

Since 1957, greater faith formation has taken place in Columbus through Eucharistic worship and sharing a meal on a monthly basis.
Fostering a Christ-centered spirituality in men that offers ongoing personal conversion; information necessary to be a positive witness in your daily life; insight on how to have a Christian impact in the workplace; and deeper understanding of our Catholic faith.
CMLC is designed to nurture the growth of Catholic identity in men in their many roles (e.g. son, father, husband, worker). Guests speak about timely topics to challenge what Christ is asking of men in our society today.
"We can do no great things; only small things with great love."
